“I am living proof that you can design your life” – Jaimee Newberry
On March 17, 2016, Jaimee posted a photo of a business idea to her personal Twitter account. By the end of the same day, TechCrunch did a write-up on her post and it was at that moment that her idea went viral.
It was on this same day that Picture This Clothing was born.
Jaimee Newberry is an accomplished Web Interaction Designer who helped create and push design standards in the technology industry. After experiencing the loss of her dad and extreme burnout in 2012, she knew it was time to redesign her life.
“Fueled by fun, Muppets, Disney, and a heavy sprinkling of rebellion – my mission is to contribute something positive to the world and continually create tools that allow others to do the same.”
2021 Workshop: Solving the “What’s Next?” Puzzle
At the peak of a 15-year-long career path, I hit a deep, dark, loss-fueled “burnout”, felt completely disconnected to everyone and everything, and had no idea how to answer the question, “What’s Next?” I realized I had accumulated a lot of tools/skills for building outstanding digital products, and decided to run an experiment on myself: Start over and design my life, as if it were a digital product. And I’ve done exactly that and I want to show you how to do it, too!
In this workshop, I will show you how your own life’s journey has equipped you with the tools and skills needed to design the life you want for yourself, and figure out the answer to “What’s next?” anytime it swoops in!
